Today we meet with the team from SAVA in a kick off. They have a clear vision of what they want to achieve and have done some solid planning on how to achieve it. Our primary goal is to write a business plan than can be used as part of the marketing of the their program to the local farmers. We spent several hours talking about their plans and the challenges both it and the local farmers have.
Over the next week we'll meet with other NGO's, local farmers, including going out to some of the farms and villages. We'll visit the local markets and some farm suppliers as well as talk to the companies accountant and maybe some local government officials.
There's a huge amount of information to be processed, though there's lots of parallels between the challenges here and challenges the IBM team has seen elsewhere.
